We partnered with Broadmoor Construction to transform a vintage Louisiana lugger boat into the heart of the new River’s Edge zoo exhibit expansion. This wasn’t a build from scratch, but a full-circle restoration. Working from a tented temporary shop, we carefully deconstructed, rebuilt, and reimagined the boat so it could safely welcome thousands of zoo-goers. Now, kids can spin the real ship’s wheel, pretend to call out over a CB radio, and feel what life is like steering through jungle waters. It’s a story of resourcefulness, rivers, and playful discovery, and we’re honored to have been part of it.
