In New Orleans, the 2026 Pastry World Cup Americas brought leading pastry chefs from across the continent together for a televised, live competition with a place in the 2027 Grand Finale in Lyon on the line. GL Events invited us to build the competition environment—one that could hold up to the intensity, precision, and artistry unfolding in every station. The result was a polished culinary stage designed for chefs, jurors, production crews, and a global audience.

challenge

This event needed to serve many purposes at once: a fully functional professional kitchen, a competition floor, a presentation space, and a broadcast-ready setting. Every element had to support fast-paced culinary work while giving intricate sugar, chocolate, and ice creations the clean visual focus they deserved. With multiple teams, rooms, and operational zones, the environment also had to feel organized from every angle.

We fabricated and laid out a complete competition floor, including eight professional kitchen areas with custom butcher block countertops, dividers, and wall flats. We built three dedicated ice-carving stations and eight white MDF display tables with luan sides, giving each finished creation a crisp, elevated presentation. Throughout the venue, we supplied black wall flats for the AV office, cloakrooms, jury, stock, organization room, food office, booth areas, and pony-wall areas. We also produced and installed the informational graphics and signage that helped participants, judges, staff, and guests move smoothly through the event. Working alongside GL Events and Corporate Lighting, we created a purposeful environment where culinary craftsmanship could take center stage.
