

If you’ve been following along on LinkedIn or Instagram this month, you might’ve seen us taking a walk down memory lane—sharing snapshots of the work that shaped 2025. This year wasn’t without its challenges, but it also gave us so many great moments. As we roll into the new year, I’d be remiss to not mention just how damn proud I am of what this team has built, and what’s more, how deeply grateful I am for the work we’ve done this year.
When I started this company back in 2019, I saw great possibilities but also approached the business with a clear-eyed understanding that nothing would come easy. From the beginning, the path felt uphill—and that was OK. I expected to have to earn every step. And along the way, the team and I have taken the tough breaks alongside the small wins, knowing both are part of building something that lasts. Looking back over this last year, though, we've had some pretty big wins, too.
Some Favorite Milestones
One of the biggest shifts the business has ever made came at the end of 2024, when we left behind our original shop space in Chalmette, LA and moved into our new headquarters in New Orleans’ 7th Ward.

With our increased facility footprint came the capacity to grow not just in available fabrication and office capacity, but in staff size. In 2025, the DFW team expanded from 14 full-time employees to 42 (that’s over 130%!) Over this last year, having a larger team has meant we've been able to build stronger processes, clarify our shared direction, and create a renewed sense of momentum for the amazing things we’re going to accomplish together in 2026.

This year, the DFW team worked on nearly 70 projects in 27 cities across 17 states. That means that for the first time ever, we built projects in every major geographic region of the country over the span of the year. And projects moved at all speeds—from a 10-day turnaround for a last-minute stage set to a full museum renovation in Tulsa, OK, that spanned the entire year (with completion slated for 2026).
And we worked to our strengths. Of our projects in 2025, roughly 57% focused on architectural fabrication (permanent installations for museums, zoos, aquariums, cultural institutions, and other themed entertainment venues) and 43% on scenic fabrication (temporary installations like brand activations, corporate events and trade shows, live events, and television/film projects).
A Huge "Thank You!"
They say it takes a village, and I’ve always believed that to be true. Looking back on 2025, it’s obvious: Downtown FabWorks wouldn't be here without a hell of a lot of people who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Our team, our vendors, and our project partners have been instrumental in helping carry this year forward. What started as a simple premise—good people, doing good work, providing excellent experiences to our clients and their end users—has grown into something that feels much bigger than a job or a company. And I don’t know about you, but I think that’s pretty cool.
So here’s to stepping into 2026 with full hearts and hands that are ready to get to work. I can’t wait to see what we’ll create together next.
